But that date is incorrect, and we now know June 8th 1970 is the correct date.
At the start of the recording, Ian Gillan tells us they were delayed going on.
The reason he gives is because not all of their equipment has arrived from playing in Munich the night before.
A careful search of all “known” dates leads us directly to them having played in Munich on June 7th 1970.
