A bit of an odd one here to pair Beck with Brian Wilson. The first CD is Wilson which I found mildly enjoyable. Disc 2 starts with Beck and adds some harmony vocals on a few tracks before ending with some Beach Boys hits. Beck had a violin player on board which was a different sound to his music and the collaborations seem a little flat. There are a few tracks where Jeff amps it up but this is not the best example of his work. It would have been great to hear A Day In The Life with just Becks’s guitar and Brian Wilson on vocals but it was only an instrumental as Beck had been playing this song in his shows. An OK show but some missed opportunities I think.
